In this striking Hadith, Imam Sadiq (as) compares the believer to a bird whose two wings for success are fear and hope: if one of these wings is heavier than the other, meaning a person has too much fear or too much hope, then the bird cannot hope to fly. However, when fear and hope in Allah (swt) are balanced, that is when a person knows they are on the right path.
