Comemmorating the wiladah of Fatima Zahra(sa)
On November 25, 2025—the second Shahādah (or final passing) of Lady Fatimah (A.S.)—we experience grief and reflection on the depth of her suffering and the enduring potency of her spiritual presence. Multiple narrations record her martyrdom in Jumādā’ al‑Ūlā, and al-thani with varying dates such as the 13th and 3rd, reflecting both historical ambiguity and the weight of the tragedy. Yet, spiritual truth transcends chronology: the Prophet’s words ring clear—“She is the doyenne of all women, the first and the last. She is part of me, the light of my eyes, and the fruit of my heart”.
Her martyrdom symbolizes the intimate bond between worldly suffering and eternal glory, confirming that the divine sees and honors the patience of the oppressed. The Qur’an assures us that God’s justice prevails, even when hidden. Those bound to her memory—in loving submission—connect to that justice.
May Allah raise her station, grant us sincerity in our love for her, and the courage to live by her principles, and may her intercession be a source of solace and honor on the Day of Reckoning.
