We extend our heartfelt congratulations to all believers around the world on the glorious occasion of Eid al-Ghadeer — the day of the completion of religion, the perfection of the Divine message, and the declaration of Imam Ali ibn Abi Talib (as) as the successor of the Holy Prophet Muhammad (saww).

On the 18th of Dhul Hijjah, while returning from his final pilgrimage, the Prophet (saww) halted at Ghadeer Khumm, and upon receiving divine revelation, proclaimed before thousands:

“Man kuntu Mawlahu, fa hādhā ‘Alīyun Mawlahu.”
“Whoever I am his master, Ali is his master.”
This hadith, narrated through both Sunni and Shia chains, is among the most widely transmitted events in Islamic history and forms the foundation of Wilayah in the Shia tradition.

It was on this momentous day that the verse was revealed:

“O Messenger! Convey what has been revealed to you from your Lord. And if you do not, then you have not conveyed His message. And Allah will protect you from the people.”
— Surah al-Ma’idah (5:67)

And after the Prophet (saww) delivered the message of Wilayah, Allah (swt) declared:

“This day I have perfected for you your religion, completed My favor upon you, and have chosen for you Islam as your religion.”
— Surah al-Ma’idah (5:3)

May the spirit of Ghadeer unite the hearts of believers, strengthen our commitment to justice, and bring peace to all followers of the path of Wilayah.
